October 12@7:00 pm-10:00 pm UTC+0
Most of our star corals spawn 6-8 nights after the full moon in September and/or October (when the sea surface temperature is the highest). Since the full moon falls on the evenings of Sept 5th (actually early morning on the 6th) and Oct 5th, the spawn will occur one week later. If I were planning a vacation mainly to see this, I would be here in October – especially the night of October the 12th! It should be fabulous! Both months will probably have spawning corals and different corals spawn at different times.
