Nature Fee – Stinapa Bonaire National Parks Foundation

Nature Fee

The Public Entity issued an Island Decree to, after 13 years, raise the rate of the nature fee, which is the admission tourists pay for access to the natural resources that belong to the people of Bonaire. Not to tourists, not to businesses. To the people, and no one else.

Our funding mechanism requires visitors to contribute to the upkeep of our natural resources they have come to enjoy. This protects the Bonairian tax payer and ensures our nature doesn’t get squandered.

It is a system we should all be proud of and defend.

As of now, the new 2019 jubileum tags have been delivered to multiple marine park operators. The 2019 tags feature the 50th anniversary of the Washington Slagbaai National Park and the 40th anniversary of the Bonaire National Marine Park!  Congratulations Bonaire on over 50 years of nature conservation, pabien!

In order to facilitate a smooth transition to the new fees, the nature fees may be sold for the current prices up to February 28th, 2019. ($25 for the dive tag and $10 for the other user tags). You may also buy the day pass diver until above mentioned day.

Per March 1, 2019 the new fees will take effect.

Meanwhile work continues on implementation of an online payment system to facilitate buying the nature fee before arrival to Bonaire. STINAPA aims to launch it as soon as possible.

We thank you for your continued support.
