Ride the Wind Responsibly: Kite and Windsurfing Rules & Regulations

- Marine Park Access:
- Kitesurfing: Only allowed at the entry and exit zone of Atlantis within the Marine Park.
- Windsurfing: Exclusively at Lac Bay within the Marine Park.
- Open Waters Access:
- Beyond the Marine Park: Enjoy kite and windsurfing in the deep blue, maintaining a respectful 75m distance from shore.
- Foiling: Surfing with a foil is allowed in the dark blue waters at least 75m from shore. Windsurfing with a foil is currently condoned in Lac as it is not zoned in yet. Conversations are currently being held with direct stakeholders to discuss a new zonation for Lac Bay. We refer for more information about Lac zonation to our social media channels.
- No Klein Bonaire Landings:
- Respect Klein Bonaire: No kite or windsurfing here, respecting a 500m buffer zone.
- Starting or landing from Klein Bonaire is prohibited, safeguarding its pristine allure.
- Explore Responsibly:
- Downwinders by Permission: Embark on downwinders with STINAPA’s written consent. Request at marinepark@stinapa.org.
- Safety First:
- Mind Divers/swimmers/fishermen boats: Stay within acceptable zones and scan for divers beneath the waves, ensuring their safety as you ride.
